right i got EVGA 8800GTS KO ACS3 the other week, and supreme commander for some reason refuses to play, it did, then it didn't, it gets past intro, to menu screen then crashes randomly, i couldn't use the normal 6-pin PCI-E connector socket i have on my PSU cause theres a bloody big case fan in the way, so i used the molex > 6-pin that came with the card, is this fine to use or should i be using the 6-pin on my PSU, or is there another problem im not seeing?

I'm guessing it should be fine if it came with the card. Why include something if you can't use it, you know. However, what I would suggest checking is that you haven't added the molex on to a really long daisy chain. I.e a chain that's powering other items, such as hard drives, fans, etc. Try and make it a dedicated one to the PSU.

Possible re-install the game also.
