Possible Look for MacPro

This is a mockup for the look of the up and coming MacPro:

Personally I think it looks odd, somehow the double disk drives stand out too much, I hope Apple take another direction.

What should be good though is cause I assume the Conroe and Woodcrest cpus are going to create a lot less heat than the baking hot PowerPC G5 it could mean one of two things; they will be more space inside for internal hard drives, the current PowerMacs only have maximum of two, or they can keep the huge heatsinks and fans which will mean these things will be cooler and therefore even more quiet.

I think I would like the quiet thing, also it could lead to overclocking potential.

I am hoping, but probably in vain, that they will release two lines one with Conroe and good graphics cards for us general users and gamers then the other with Woodcrest and all the quad core stuff for designers and powerusers.

Problem with that of course is the lower line with conroe would be cutting into iMac terratory and I would be a similar price if not cheaper as you would not get a monitor with it.

Lets hope they announce something at WWDC and put all the rumors to rest.
