possible mobo problem

New pc stopped working on saturday. It was fine for a week but now it powers on for a few seconds, then goes off, then comes on and off, on and off. Nothing comes up on screen. I've tried another power supply, swapped the memory & tried resetting the CMOS but no change.

Now I'm thinking it might be the mobo. Its a Gigabyte GA P35C DS3R.

Any advice on what might be causing this?

Thanks

I saw your thread. Looks like we have pretty much the same spec but different RAM. Plus my build worked for a week. I was worried it was a messed up BIOS update but it was working, no updates, then not working.

Anyone had a problem like this or can think what might be causing it?

so it worked for a week?

i havnt even got to that stage yet :(

what proccess did you do for it to work..

and what memory you have in it?
did you have to reset the cmos?

Memory OCZ 4GB (2 x 2GB) PC2-5400C5.

I built it last weekend. Worked fine. No overclocking. Now this. How many times have you let it restart? I've found some other threads where people have had this problem but it goes into BIOS after a few restarts.

i have restarted it lots of times... 10+ easy...

still no joy.

got to be something simple... do you get any bleeps?

i get 1 long, then about 10seconds later 1long again.?
sometimes just 1 long beep...

still no display or post. do you get bios display?
