possible monitor breaks at only 60hz

Hi
Is it possible for my monitor to have broken at 60hz but not lower?
when i load a game up the monitor puts pink lines all accross it and stuff, like big thick blocks of pink accross the screen.
it isnt there when i am not playing a game though
thoughts would help thanks
