Have a Abit IP35 motherboard with Q6600 processor and regular ram etc. Will be 3 years old in September. Im guessing the warranty has run out?
Anywho, issues include will not boot from cold start up (cold being left off for a week with the room VERY cold) i.e power will flow and fans start up but nothing appears on the screen.
When booting normally will occasinly hang on the Windows Loading screen, a forced restart and it boots normally
Have aux case fans plugged in and set up to run at 40% or whatever. On start up they run at full tilt, then BIOS kicks in and they drop, but occasionally they dont. Can also happen when pc is running normally.
Does it sound like a capacitor issue? (thinking of the cold start)
I've had some epic use out of this, on nearly 24/7 for 2 years or so. My only gripe about letting go is that I probably couldnt get much if anything for it, and i'd want to upgrade the processor and ram to something more new too.
