Possible MSI HD7950 Fault?

Hi guys,
My pc has been giving me a bit of jip for a while now and yesterday it seems to have given up more or less completely. The pc would sometimes "boot" but just a black screen, "no signal" on the monitor. It would also sometimes give me a black screen after being on for a period of time and I'd have to hard reset to get it back to life. Various other boot issues, looping cycles etc.

So yesterday I pulled the 7950 out and using the APU in my i5 2500k CPU via HDMI. Zero issues so far, no lock ups, boots fine everytime.

Anything else I can try to diagnose the GPU as faulty? (aside a spare gpu I'm trying later)

RMA to MSI - anyone got any experience? Can't be without games over Xmas :(

Cheers.

Does sound like a GPU issue and may well require an RMA. Alternatively, it might not have been seated properly? Might be worth putting it back in and seeing if the issues come back. Nothing worse than sending something for RMA and getting told that it isn't faulty!

So I tried another GPU and exactly the same thing. PC sometime just reboots before anything on screen! Must be an issue with the motherboard.. Tried both PCIe slots and it's the same in both :(
