1993 VOLKSWAGEN CORRADO 2.0 16V 3dr Coupe

what are these like, i have always liked the look of them, seem pretty quick.

any comments?

They're well regarded and have one of the better front wheel drive chassis from the period.
They were considered a little lardy at the time (around 1300kg IIRC) as they were a LOT heavier than the Scirocco, but that's quite a common weight now.
Interior was similar to the mk2 Golf, i.e. pretty hard wearing. The 2ltr was the slowest option available and I believe had a 0-60 time around 9 seconds. The faster versions were the G60 (supercharged) and VR6.
Corrados tend to hold their value well, though the 2ltr will be substantially cheaper than a good VR6.

Personally I'd rather have a spot of turbo rwd S13 fun, but the Corrado is not a bad car, just rather overpriced IMO.

well i would go for a VR6 but not sure if i can get the insurance on it. i can on the 2lt version.

is there much difference in speed etc?

Used to have a Vr6, and yes there is a noticeable difference in both 0-60 times and overall torque. Was gp 19 when I had mine. If insurance is an issue, the supercharged one isn't a bad alternative - G60?.
