hope its not that same old engine , its looking dated now well the characters/animations have never been good have they .

They will have to use a new engine, undoubtedly got the most out of it with the latest rendition of it.

Do you think they will ever manage to get a game world anywhere near the size of Daggerfalls? I guess having most of the locations computer generated made it much easier, which they would struggle to get away with nowadays.

I get the feeling they will be making this one on the PC and 360/PS3. For that reason I think they will stick to the current engine.

That would make it way better on PC as it would be designed for much better hardware surely

I hope they dont make it for the 360 and PS3, the games coming from them are starting to look dated now In comparison to PC only games.

Yeah that's not the Elder Scrolls series, it's just made by the same developers.

Unfortunately the Elder Scrolls games will never be the same due to the console market.

However fortunately for us PC gamers, the thing that makes TES games WAY better than they where originally made is user mods. That is one thing Bethesda will never stop making for us, the construction set.

I can see them bringing TES: 5 to the current gen of consoles. They'll use a refined Oblivion engine and it'll be even more console friendly in the original product. The one thing that I'm personally fearful of (seeing as how much I love TES games) is the online demand going around for nearly every freaking game series.

Anyone who wants a TES game online needs to be shot on the spot IMO. Any online mode, co-op play or anything of the sort will only take away what makes the series great in the first place. They will concentrate on trying to make it work and it will certainly alter the game play. Things will need to be messed with in order for it to go smoothly. I dont what that at all and it will be a sad day for gaming if it happens.

Eggyoke, I agree with you through and through. The game is for one person to see for themselves. Bethesda are quite strong on their policies, I doubt they'll do it, if they do I'll cry.
