Hi,

Well at the moment i wondering if to go for an all out upgrade or just buy partial parts.

I currently have:

Xigmatek Alfar midi Tower Case
AMD 8350fx processor
ATI Radeon 6990 graphics
Corsair Vengeance 1600 mhz (8gb(2x4gb))
Sabertooth 990fx Motherboard
850w psu
3TB Toshiba Hard drive
120GB Corsair SSD

Custom built by myself.

Now i bought the 6990 about four years ago, while i was in my naive way of thinking, games will start using a duel GPU or at least offer good support. How wrong i was..

Having to wait sometimes months for patches to come out to make Duel GPU's effective. Sad days.
And don't get me started on how much cooling the card takes, keeps to around 60-70 degrees and is quite loud when playing intensive games.

So with the recent 290 cards out, i was thinking of upgrading the graphics card. And maybe even investing into water cooling (Which i have no idea on, apart from what i have read from the water cooling guide). When looking at good cases to upgrade too, so i could do water cooling the price went up quite a bit.

So i was wondering if you guys think i should just do a completely new system build to be future proof for years to come. As I do not need hard drives, maybe keep my RAM. And could just sell my other components for a fair bit.
I'm just worried about setting up water cooling myself, so was thinking of doing a system built package. But then again i would like to learn how to set a water cooling system up myself and probably work out cheaper.

Suggestions of certain systems i should go for, would be appreciated. As i struggle to decide.

Thanks

My budget would be around £800-900.

Sorry I should have said, i would just want cooling for just the GPU and Processor. Possibly just the GPU.

As at the moment the only part that gets hot, is the GPU. The rest stays between 30-40 degrees
