hi guys,

after some trouble with my current motherboard i may have to get a new one. i am after opinions on what board to get with a budget of roughly £100 with the following spec:

asus p5nd2-sli deluxe mobo
pentium d920
1gig corsair RAM
3x 200gig HDD's
xfx geforce 6800xt 512mb
hiper modular 580W psu

i am not ever going to need sli, it was only on the last board as a potential upgrade path but i now know i will never need it. i dont tend to overclock much as im not very technically minded. im after a board for around £100 that i can just plug into my current spec (with room to improve later ie core 2 duo compatible) and get on with things.

all help appreciated,
thanks

If you buy the ASUS P5N-E SLi you probably won't even have to re-install Windows (just add a few drivers on the first boot). It's basically the same board updated. But, I'd get your existing one replaced under warranty if I was you, then sell it. It must still be under warranty as they only started making them less than 12 months ago!

the board was bought in feb last year. i have emailed the place i bought it from but herd nothing back yet (only emailed this morning though!) im just trying to get an idea of what i should replace it with IF i have to.

be prepared and all that ;)
