Finished putting together my new build last night consisting of an i5-4670k, MSI Z87-G43, 2×4GB TeamGroup Vulcan Orange and a 120GB Samsung Evo. From my old setup I have an HD5850, Asus Xonar, Thermaltake TR2 550W and numerous drives.
Installed Windows 7, chipset drivers and AMD graphics drivers. Rebooting gets me to the login screen then the monitor switches off after approx 3 seconds and won't come back on. This happens even when using on-board graphics, with or without the HD5850 connected. Safe mode is fine though.
I've tried disconnecting as much as possible from the psu. I've updated the motherboard BIOS and tried the HD5850 in both the pcie3 and pcie2 slots with the same result. I've also tried current and slightly older graphics drivers.
Could it still be a power issue, or a motherboard issue, or something obvious that is staring me straight in the face?
