Right guys, after having a few problems with bf4, I gave up with it. Saturday just gone I installed the new 14.1 drivers to try Mantle, so fired up bf4 again. It doesn't matter if I use DX or Mantle, but I keep getting an inch wide line across the screen which contains glitchy graphics. -Like I say hard to explain!

For example, if I move the mouse fast, I'll get a line/band across the screen which looks blotchy/patchy/glitchy etc, but once the mouse slows, it seems that band catches up with the rest of the game.

I've only seen this in bf4, so hoping it's just another fault within the very buggy game.

Any thoughts?

You could be right, I've just Googled some examples and it's a possibility. Any easy way to cap refresh rate for bf4?

PerfOverlay.DrawFps 1

press the tilde key in BF4 and type that. It will pop up a fraps like frame counter :)

Not sure if you can use any kind of V-Sync while using Mantle, as they are all geared for D3D.

I turned V-Sync on in the menu, full ultra with 2xAA, and displayed the FPS. I'm very surprised by this 280X!

My original problem has gone, so thanks for the help!

You made it sound like really thick black lines. Could tearing be that bad? never seen it described like that :D

Try and imagine a band of approx 1" wide across the screen. Inside this band the graphics look messed up. If it does it again, I'll get a video of it
