The GF bought a new PC - Blows mine away but im sure ill use it now and then
she wanted to waste £1k on some horrific HP off the shelf thing.
I made her see sense and ended up with a 2500k, GTX780, 8gb ram a couple of SSDs and a decent 144hz monitor. I'm pretty sure these are good specs for Farmville and Facebook..
only 800 quid too.
Anyway its got a Corsair 650Watt PSU and at the moment the 2500k is at stock - The GPU will be staying at stock. Do you think there's enough headroom there for a mild ~4ghz clock or even enough to get it back upto a more respectful 4.5+ ?
THis is my first dabble into new hardware for a while and unsure of current power usages
I know people tend to vastly over estimate or underestimate power draw form these things.
