Possible RAM issue?

Hello,

So i recently finished a new first time build (Yesterday) and everything seemed to be running fine but i noticed this morning that when I came back from being out the room the computer has restarted itself at some point.

Looking at the event log it was coming up as a Kernel Power 41 error, which is possibly linked to RAM issues, or so i've read. So i done a windows memory diagnostic test and it almost instantly flagged an error, so i let it finish its process, then ran the same test on the two individual sticks i have, the first stick got a few moments into the test, error flagged, tried it with the second stick, instantly flagged an error.

I am using Corsair Vengeance LPX black 32gb (2x16gb)

Could this be something wrong with the RAM itself or could this be a compatibility issue with the motherboard that may resolve itself with further updates?

I am using a Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3 Mobo and I think there are compatibility issues between it and the RAM currently.

Pretty unsure when it comes to diagnosing problems, so wondering if the kernel power issue is actually ram related or if it's been something else, i did see somewhere else changing power management settings can solve these problems, so i have also changed them and will leave this running with both sticks in the system and see what happens.

I was running the computer last night for a good few hours and never noticed anything. This morning i wasn't really using it, it was just on in the background while i was doing other things.

Cheers,

Colin

Do you suggest manually setting the RAM in bios to 2133 as it's currently set to auto and is running at 2133. And yes that is the BIOS version i am running currently.

Hey Beech Horn,

Just wanna say thanks for the help, got the RAM replaced a few days later and all working fine and as expected.
