Possible Sabaru custom job

Saw a 4×4 metallic gold Sabaru yesterday but was unable to take a photo as I was driving. Does anybody know if Sabaru intend to mass produce these or has anybody else seen anything like this?

Can't find anything they have previously produced that looked like it .

You'll have to give us more than this to go on. All Subarus are four-wheel drive I believe. By 4x4 I assume you mean an SUV-type of shape?

Yes.Sorry. It was the colour and shape that "struck me" . The thing is it kinda looked like a cross between a Jeep and a humvee. I suppose that could have been a chunky body kit of some sort. I know it was a Subaru because (unlike any other model I have seen) it was written aross the bonnet in bold metallic lettering. It wasn't a Forrester or Crosstreck either.
 
Probably this then-except the bonnet being 98 percent gold, with embossed lettering stretching over the top and not along the grill :

Saw an old Land Rover done up just the same, based on your description. Driving up the M4 toward London.
Looked horridly garish and assumed it was just someone's naff idea of bling, really. Might be something done by a dealership as a display piece or a marketing stunt.
