Possible to bring XP out of stand by with IR?

Is this possible? or maybe just a way to switch the monitor on and off? as the pc is in a cupboard and not easily accessible.
Its using a haupage 45button remote that goes through the card, so no usb receiver, but i can use macro's to send commands to XP

this probably doesn't help much, but my mce reciever and remote can bring the pc out of sleep
