Possible to flash bios from a CD instead of floppy?

I'm currently exploring ways of updating my MSI motherboard's BIO (It's a MS-7246 975X Platinum PowerUp Edition). The MSI live update utility's update file won't work with my OS (Vista x64) so it seems I have to do it the hard way - but I have no floppy disc drive.

Any other MSI motherboard users here, with experience of BIOS updating?

These are the instructions I'm supposed to use, it says to use floppy discs, would a CD make any difference?

Apparently MSI's motherboards can do bios updates via bootable CD, so I'm just going to do this . Wish me luck. If I don't appear on OcUK for a while after this, it's because I fluffed my computer :p

I've done it! Phew that was actually incredibly scary stuff, it was the first time I ever flashed anything! It's gone from 7.10 to 7.80 successfully, so hopefully this means it will let me overclock from a paltry 2.53ghz to 3ghz and beyond!

edit: lame, it still refuses to boot to Windows if I overclock to past 2.5ghz. Time to save up for a new system I reckon.
