Possible to get a better spec for £150 - £200??

Hi All,

Would it be possible to get a better spec than a 6300 @ 2.8ghz & 4gb ram for the above budget? (Ideally £100 - £150)

Basically in need of a new motherboard as the memory slots are playing up so only running single channel and a clock of only 2.8ghz instead of the 3.2ghz i used to be able to get.

PC mainly for gaming.

Current gfx card is 4850.

might be skimping very close

if you don't want RAM

but a upgrade on the CPU with that mobo and the E7400

Well could go with cpu and mobo if DDR2 is possible.

Didnt know what platform people would spec me. Ideal to stay s775 so I dont need a new water block...

it is, or should be unless you current chip is not a LGA775

that gigabyte is a S 775 p45 chipset mobo so your block should fit

and the mobo is DDR2

I misread thinking you wanted RAM as well
