I've recently upgraded to Windows 7 and desperately need more RAM as a few of my games have become unplayable on 2Gb. However, I can't seem to find 2 x 2Gb sticks cheaper than ~70 quid. Is this really the cheapest you can get DDR2 for now? I understand it's older technology, but the price just seems exhorbitant.

MM is your best bet, there's always memory floating about, 1GB sticks are more common (or just harder to shift) but I picked up 2x2 for 45 about a month or so ago.

Right now there are ~3 sellers of 2x2 DDR2 for £60 in MM on the first 3 pages.

I bought my 4GB DDR2 6400 (2X2) Crcial Ballistx kit for £45 new back when the gettin was good :) Price of the dollar, weakness of the pound, the cycle of the moon and the constant march of technology are against you :(

MM would be good, memory is one of the few items i wouldn't bother buying on the bay

I agree about Ebay, but £60 is a lot when new it can be had for £70.

Was hoping to try and get it around £50, so I'll keep my eyes peeled.

The price of memory fluctuates considerably, for example, a 1gb stick of Crucial Ballistix in Oct 09 was approx £18inc vat, but now is in the region of £25.

Now where's my crystla ball?!

Ive 2GB (2 x 1GB sticks) OCZ bought from here which is redundant now Ive upped my board to 6GB.

Would like to sell on my 2GB to help fund 2x2GB sticks making my Ram total 8GB.
Was looking for £40 (sorry mods if this is naughty, not sure TBH!)

About 50 posts away from the members market though!
