No real reason but was just wondering. Let's say your mum is from England, your dad is from Australia, and you were born in the US. Does that mean you'd have all three and subsequently be allowed to live in any of those places?

Depends on the country i think...some countries wont allow you to have 2 or more citizenships ie you must give up one etc.

Yes some countries will allow children to retain dual citizenship and then surrender one of their passports when turning 18. Most EU countries and the US allow you to retain dual nationality, but in theory you should only travel on one passport, so flying out on one and back on another is naughty.
No reason why under certain circumstances folks couldn't have 3, anoyone in Northern Ireland can have dual Irish and British nationality, if thye married someone from another country and had a child the child could claim any of the 3 nationalities, certainly until it was 18.

I had a friend who technically had triple nationality. He had an English dad and a Canadian mum but was born in antigua? (or some Island close...), where he lived till he was two. I don't remember him having a passport for Antigua but he had the right to citizenship there if he wanted it.

as far as i know, you can have a british and greek one but if you want to work for a government you have to renounce 1 of the other.

I know someone who's new zealand passport only ran out recently. So hes and Dual nationality for a long time. Its certainly possible, but like the others said above, each country will have its own rules that you will need to look into
