Possible to install Home Basic with a Home Premium disc?

Yo.

As title really, I need to install Home Basic for a friend, but I've only a Home Premium disc.

I have the Home Basic key too, I was under the impression all Vista versions were on the one disc, just the key determined which version would install.

I also read that the version of vista is installed depending on the key.

When it asks you to put a key in, dont put one in, if it lets you continue you can select the version. My Business version lets me install any version off the disk.

If Basic is on the DVD then you'll have no problems with putting in the key at the install stage.
