possible to know whether a chip has been oc'd

What you really need to know is what kinda voltage it's been run it, if it's high enough to degrade the chip then I'd avoid it.

Although to find out you'd have to get them to tell you as far as I know.

If the seller wont say directly he may give clues its been overclocked such as telling you the stepping in the listing. i'd be more inclined to think its been OC'd if the seller states this kind of extended information

what he said :) id 95% of the time thats the case

Personally for me i allways ask them, 95% of the time they will tell you, but you allways get the odd ones that just won't.

If i sell a cpu thats not been overclocked, i just post intels spec sheet on it, if i sell one thats been overclocked i'll post evidence and state vcores and all sorts.

Basicly i walk away from sellers that won't answer questions, as there will allways be another along at some point.
