Possible to make laptop your self? were do can get a case with the screen ? and if you can is it hard? to build it

would like to build myself like 17" with 8800m

I do remember seeing some old laptop barebones somewhere, not sure where. All you needed to add was CPU, RAM, HDD and CD/DVD drive.

Not sure about throwing a GFX card in there too.

To build one with an 8800m would be more expensive I'd imagine, have you seen the prices of graphics cards for laptops? 7900GTXs can still fetch over £200.
Buying a pre-made one would be better off I'd imagine, in the long run it'd be far simpler and if you haggle then it would be cheaper.

nope you cant make them yourself
as said about the only thing you can change/add , are CPU, RAM, HDD and CD/DVD drive
most manufacturers build there own case n motherboard.
you cant put eg:dell motherboard in a HP case
its not like desktop PC`s were everything is a universal fit

You can semi-build them yourselves, serach for Laptop Barebones in google.
As already said though, you can usually only add your own CPU, HDD, RAM, wireless card and a couple of other components. Plus they don't come cheap as you won't be able to get the same discounts as companies buying in bulk, and normal companies don't stock that many laptop parts.
