Was just doing a bit of browsing, and the US pricing scheme for Macs interests me.
----- On Apple store UK, basic Macbook = £749.00
----- On Apple store US, basic Macbook = $999.00 or ~£614.
That's a saving of over £100.
If we take a look at the iMacs now...
----- Apple store UK, entry level iMac (20") = £949.00
----- Apple store US, entry level iMac (20") = $1199.00 or ~£737.
Thats more than £200 saved, quite significant indeed.
Currencies were converted with XE.com.
A similar pattern can be seen with other models such as Macbook Pro, Macbook Air etc.
Is there any way to order stuff from there and have it shipped over here, or will Apple not allow it?
I'd be much more tempted to buy an iMac going by the US pricing.
