As the thread title really, I have Vista Business on my laptop which I really like but it's absolutely pants for games performance. So I need to know if there is a way of installing XP back on it so I can dual boot?

Whenever i had to dualboot i shoved xp on got it all up to date then installed vista

So, In your case unless i'm mistaken

Sort partitions (dunno if you can in vistas own gubbins with vista business ?)

When you do sort partions, Easiest is google etc for installing xp after vista, Follow the found guide/s and bobs your uncle

No doubt if i'm wrong someone will come n have my guts for garters in a following post

XP is not going to perform any better. Drivers and such as now optimised and give the same performance in XP and Vista. I know, I dual booted for while until I realised there was actually no point.

Well I used to run XP and I was able to play games without issue. I could even play Crysis on medium settings and it looked and played superbly. I recently doubled my ram to 4GB and upgraded to Vista and now most games run like crap. Crysis is like a slideshow and I can't even play CSS without extreme stutter in the graphics. I have tried a few different drivers etc too but I always get the same result.

Have you tried this in vista ..........

Don't use the usual install path for games

Make a folder in C: or whatever letter you're using, Call it eg: Games

Install to this folder and see if games run better

works a treat on x64 but no idea about x86 but worth a try maybe
