Hi,

I listen to iPlayer religously during work. And today I came across some real nice acoustic type rap on one of the radio shows.

To be specific the show is http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00cpl05/ starts about 1 hour 6 mins, specifically the song that starts at 1 hour 12 mins.

Is it possible for me to download this stream so i can have it on my ipod to/from work?

Thanks

Isn't this copyright infringement?

Kinda borderline, if i listen to it all day at work, why cant i listen to it to/from work. If I was using it commercial, then that would be a big no no

Same as recording of the telly!

FlashGet will download BBC radio streams to a .RA file (which you could then convert to MP3).

You need to find the .RAM link in the HTML source, which I think for the above show is:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/playlists/mz/kp/c0/0b/0400_bbc_radio_one.ram

Tell FlashGet to download that.

Hi chris thanks for that,

I have flashget and when i drop that url in, in the download list it automatically convers to kwame.ra as the filename (which I also found when I opened the .ram file in notepad), but then I just get-

Thu Jul 31 15:47:21 2008 Connecting rmv8.bbc.net.uk
Thu Jul 31 15:47:22 2008 Error occured!
Thu Jul 31 15:47:22 2008 Wait 3 second for retry

I didnt put a referer in though when i tried to download *** stream, not to sure what i should enter here.

D'oh!

Oh, there must be some Windows equivalent then. I use it to record The Jeremy Vine Show and it is a one click record option that hijacks the web browser audio stream. I then trim it with Audacity and Bob is your uncle.

Or you could get a Mac? :p:D:cool:

Would you be so kind to do the show I requested? Being trying for about 1 half hours now without any progress to be honest

Im stuck on a windows PC :(

Edit: I mean jsut download the file, i will do all of the conversion etc
