Think i have screwed up here!

I have a HTPC with a i3 530 which i run fanless
with a Scythe Ninja Mini. But i saw a cheap 760 on ebay and thought why not. However i am now thinking no chance will a 760 run fanless with a mini ninja...correct?

Everything is inside a Antec NSK2480 with the 2 side fans running at 700rpm

Thanks

Possible if you undervolt it and the load isn't extreme i guess. Have setup a Q9550 @ 1.000v stock speed fanless for a studio, but its cooled by a NH-D14, Antec 900 with top case fan off and single front and rear at 5v plus SSD only and NAS in other room. Even under IBT it never cracked 76C

Just under volt, under volt, under volt :)
Those processors have a massive OC headroom at stock volts, so you'll be able to pull the voltage down a lot if you leave it at stock speed. Should run fine. Might want to drop the speed down a little and throw the volts down a lot and build up slowly though?

I have a i5 750 that's under voted. CPU-Z is showing 1.1v, however I'm quite a bit lower in BIOS, I can't remember but think it's set to 1.08. I only got down this low due to Seasonic X650, OCZ Stealth 600w would not allow as low.

I removed the fan from an Arctic Freezer 7, just using the bottom air flow from 3x180mm fans at 5v (Silverstone evolution). To cut it short under-load there was not enough cooling.

if you have a monster of a heatsink and good airflow within the case then it might be possible to run the cpu without a fan on but you would need to seriously under volt it.

If it were me, I'd buy a huge heatsink and the quietest fan you can find. Then run it from a fan controller set to low. Years ago I built a PC that was pretty good (quad core IIRC) and almost virtually silent. I mean it was so quiet you had to look at the power led to see if it was on or not
