Hi folks,

I'm currently selling off my gaming pc as I don't really use it. Most of my games I bought through steam so I want to know how I can sell it. None of my games are banned and have the big titles in there ( orange box, cod4, cod5, cod6 etc etc).

I thought maybe there'd be something like the wow trading sites but I can't find anything. So is I possible to sell steam accounts?

Cheers

matt

I'm not sure... The only thing is, people may be wary of buying it as you can always recover the account, hence why I wouldn't buy it, as tempting as all the games on it are! Try the Members Market if you want to though.

You can sell it elsewhere but it's not alltogether legal as far as I know. Valve tend to frown heavily upon it.

I'd just save yourself any hassle and keep it if I were you, you may end up wanting to use it again in the future.

You can sell them but you might find it hard over the net.. Always think that I should put
the new games I buy on seperate accounts, but im far to lazy.

You could sell your account I guess, by that i mean, just sell the username and password. There is going to have to be a lot of trust involved though, that is the only problem. Either from teh buyer, or from you because the only way i see a buyer feeling trust is if he gets the details, changes the e-mail then changes the password,. then gives you your money, and at this point he could probably just not pay, and even if this bit works, he still has to trust that you aren't banned from every single pub server!

I say keep it, you never know, one day you might have kids and like i used to enjoy the megadrive over the ps1, they may enjoy these steam games over their ps8. Or you might come back to gaming! A bog standard computer will probably be able to run all the games in 10 years time for example.

Possible yes, advisable no.

If its to a friend or someone you know personally, it would just be a case of giving him the passwords and exchanging the money, with both parties safe no-one would be the wiser. But something like an online sale, either Valve would become aware or any buyer would be very hesitant as you can easily claim it back as it being hacked.

Chances are Blizzard have there hands in half the WoW gold/account selling sites, Valve on the other hand won't.
