Possible To Slow Fan On 3870?

Sorry if this is a bit of stupid question, but basically I'm looking for a way to slow the fan down on my 3870.

It's a cheaper brand with a Zalman style cooler, the temps are fine but the fan appears to always be at a constant speed, which is far louder than anything else in my computer.

Temperatures aren't a problem as I never see anything above 50s or so even at load, so I have some good room to play with.

So I'm wondering if there's any way I can slow it down, there's no apparent control on the fan, and rivatuner etc all have no effect on it. There's only the two wires powering the fan, so I guess this limits my options.

Thanks :)

Perhaps you can wire it to a molex, and then do the 7V mod?

Best idea I've had so far :)

Only question is if that would actually slow it down, it's only a small fan on there so I'm not sure how much power it's currently being given, possibly more than a 7V molex?

Sorry if that's a stupid question, I really know little about it.

It's more than likely 12V, that's pretty standard. If it'a actually 7V you wouldn't have loat anything by putting it through a molex. You could also put it down to 5V if it will start at that speed.
