Possible to transfer files from DOS over a wired network?

Any DOS application which can support this?

Need to share files across network from DOS. HDD is on its way out.. kind of works but unable to boot Windows, can see some files though which are valid.

Have tried different Linux distros but they are a pain in the butt.

tbh, ubuntu should work fine, copy it to a USB stick and away you go?

try ubuntu/linux mint/slax

slax is by far the smallest

download the ISO, and burn to disc using imgburn.
