possible to unlock x1900GT/ x1950Pro using bios flash?

hey there, i'm considering buy one of these and was wondering has anyone heard of anyone who has managed to unlock these using a flash or otherwise. i think i remember hearing some tell of the x1900GT unlocking somehow, but i cant remember where, and i couldn't find anything at all through all the pages on the subject ( rephrased many times to make sure). since the x1950Pro was made to replace it and is more easily available now, i'm more interested in it to be honest, but all info would be useful!. thanks in advance guys. also if you have heard tell of any other cards except the 7600GS's ( not interested inem) unlocking, please tell

I believe that some managed to unlock the 4pipelines/12pixel shaders on the 1st revision X1900GT's. The 2nd revision ones (ones currently on sale) are most likely a definite no no. They have a different pcb layout and have digital vrm's, which differs from the X1900XT.

The X1950 Pro would be a no no too. Iirc it's 80nm RV570 core was designed to have 12 and only 12 pipelines/36 shaders.

ah ok, i thought the x1950pro was a locked up speed dumped x1950xt, i'l check on wikipedia's list and see, but your probably right. thanks for the info.

edit: i just chedk, and your right. , oh well >.<, guess i'l have to fork out on a 256mb 1900XT or sumthin. thanks anyway
