Possible tu run lower resolutions as 'bordered - not full screen'?

Does anyone know a way that I can stop the 'auto-expansion' when I lower the resolution on a monitor?

For a boring technical reason (getting all monitors to match size on my eyefinity setup even though 1 monitor is much bigger than the others) I'd rather have a black border than a 'non native resolution' blurry old full screen ..

possible or impossible to say 'black border up the smaller image please'?

Depends on the monitior. Look for a setting in the monitor menu called display mode, something like 1 to 1 or 1:1.

Its in the ancient version of nvidia control panel and the intel one. Don't know about anything else.
