Possible upgrade, but what sort of money would I need to spend?

I currently have:

Asus M4A87TD Evo AMD 870
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition oc'd @ 3.6
Palit GeForce GTX 460 1Gb
8 Gb 1600Mhz RAM
Be Quiet! Straight Power E7 600W Power Supply

as the basics. I'm looking to upgrade as I've had this setup for 6 years now and it's getting a bit long in the tooth. Hard drives are not solid state, so that will be one thing to change. My monitor is a Iiyama ProLite E2773HDS and I'm not looking to change this anytime soon.

The last new game I bought was FEAR3 and got kinda bored with it. (EDIT - Farming Simulator 2015 and my pc gets hot playing it on nice settings lol). I must say most of the new releases don't really interest me, but I'd maybe like to be able to play GTA V as I've enjoyed the previous games.

What I do play? Minecraft. I like playing with 64bit hd texture packs and it's taking a toll on my rig. I'd like to try shaders too, but that really is a nono as my poor pc grinds to a halt. I can record "ok" if I use the default textures, but would like maybe to be able to record a better pack with less stuttering.

My uber vague post is this - how much would I need to spend to get a decent upgrade on my current system for what I want my pc to do? I'm not able to throw money at my system due to other things I have to spend my money on, but what areas would YOU change/upgrade etc?

Please - any advice will be gratefully received :)

Would £500 be enough to justify a decent upgrade in performance, or would it cost more than that to get a noticeably better system?

Thanks for taking the time to reply :)
