possible upgrade on the cheap

Hi guys,

I have received a new/old pc from work which consists of a pentium d 820 and some other bits. I want to upgrade the mobo and CPU, can you guys spec me a cheap as chips s775 mobo with ddr2 ram slots that will be a good overclocker.

Budget=30ish quid if possible

Spdif would be a bonus

For that price it's going to be second hand unless you take a chance on one of the m-ATX boards. You may be able to find a low end P45 board for that price. Definately a P35 board. P43 boards can be had for that as well but they run out of steam at 416-420mhz. Around £20 would get you one of the excellent Gigabyte P31-DS3L boards. These were probably the best price/performance boards that Gigabyte have ever released and had overclocking features more commonly seen on higher end boards.
