Hello All,

Just need a bit of advise I am currently running the following specs:

I3 Ivybridge 3220 (obviously not overclocked)
8GB Kingston Hyper Silver 1600MHz
128GB SSD
1TB storage hdd
ATI 7850 2GB
550W OCZ PSU
DVD-RW

Would it be a good idea running a second ATI 7850 on this setup only having a 550w PSU? Or would it be a safer option just upgrading the CPU?

I'm sure this topic has been covered to death but oculdnt find anything on a standard ivybridge system?

The 7850 is a good card but adding another would seriously be choked by your CPU. I would look to replacing that if I am honest.

The i3 would already bottleneck the 7850 2GB in some games...not much point upgrading your graphic until you upgraded your CPU.

Just overclock the 7850 2GB already if you not already have.

This.

And that.

Believe it or not even an i3 with hyper threading will bottleneck a single 7850 slightly at 1080p.

Ahh very helpful thanks guys I should probably think about putting a I5 3570k in it however I have a H77 motherboard so cant overclock...
