Hi all

I've been thinking of purchasing some upgrades for my PC (mostly along the lines of a GPU or CPU) I'm open to any suggestions, I mainly use it for gaming.

Here are my current specs

Motherboard MSI P67A-G45
CPU i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz
GPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 MSI Twin Frozr
Memory 8GB Kingston DDR3 10666
PSU 750W
250GB SSD
500GB HDD
1x 1920x1080 Monitor 1x 1360x768 Monitor
Basic Logitech keyboard (maybe a mechanical keyboard?)

I'm not experiencing any problems running any of my games, I just got the itch to get a new component

Thanks for any suggestions

Kinda what I thought then, I already have a CPU cooler I forgot to mention (Corsair H60). I did have it overclocked but was hitting most of my games at 60fps so put it back to stock. I don't really have a budget as I can save for parts but if you wanted a budget £350ish? for GPU

I have the same cpu as you and as others have said, overclock it and there will be no need to upgrade it for a long while yet.

If the PSU is a decent brand then 750W is plenty for one gfx card and 8GB ram is fine. A GTX780 Ti just sold on the MM for £355 inc... that would max out almost everything at 1080p, it's doing a good job in mine at 5760x1200.

290X utterly not worth the premium over the 290.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Tri-X 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (11227-03-40G) £319.99
Total : £319.99 (includes shipping : ).

This is a very good price for a very quick card and one of the best third party coolers out there. Just make sure it'll fit in your case.

Thanks for all the advice guys, Great stuff.

Can I ask what is MM?

Think I'll be searching for some deals and overclocking the CPU this weekend.

members market on here. you need a minimum number of posts plus length of membership to gain access to the market. Some good deals do come up on there. I think it is at least 1000 posts now...
