possible Viewsonic VX922 problem?!

Hi all,

Ive just finished running 3dmark 05 on my new install. During the first test, (return to proxycon?) i noticed a *possible* problem; it is most visible during this test, when the "big chain gun" is fired with a head-on view (but all the time in the distance/some other 'flashing' scenes). Basically, the flashs of light create black like tears along the screen, which are only caused by the screen (tested card by taking a screenshot!).

Does anyone know what causes this? and how i could perhaps, make it more bearable? - I know that in some games it does it also! - could it be due to running @1024 rather than 1280? (native rez)

Thanks for any advice!

Hi,

Thanks for your replys, however putting vsync on/off doesent make a difference with the 'Flashing' problem.

hen the "big chain gun" is fired with a head-on view (but all the time in the distance/some other 'flashing' scenes). Basically, the flashs of light create black like tears along the screen, which are only caused by the screen

- Also here the FPS doesent exceed 45FPS anyway

Ive tested on other screens, including a CRT and get the same results, exactly.

Any other ideas? :)

so you get the same problem when using your CRT? It won't be the screen to blame then, something in your graphics card more likely

Yup - although the black lines/tears etc that come about during 'Flash's' can only be seen in a moving image, ie screenshot's show nothing :/
