I have to install XP SP2 on a number of machines and im looking for the easiest way possible. I had a fiddle with nlite, but can't find a way to include programs in the installation, only drivers/updates etc. I need to install a number of programs, adobe reader, powerpoint viewer, realvnc etc etc. Unfortunately the pc's aren't the same spec, so no imaging (this isn't legal anyway is it?). Anyone know of the easiest way to get my goal accomplished?

nLite is purely for installing WindowsOS / customising OS. If you want to install programs then need a different program.
That's not entirely true. You can use nLite addons to add programs as pre-installed. On the Windows image I use on my desktop I have it pre-install Firefox and 7-Zip to facilitate the rest of the machine setup. I haven't a clue how these addons are made though so I only choose from pre-existing ones. It's certainly worth investigation.
