Hi,

Wanting to do a new build (i7 6700k with 980ti SLI) and for the first time want to do a custom watercooling loop with acrylic tubes.

My question is, is it possible to do a decent watercooling setup that doesnt sound loud? Every watercooling build i have heard sounds loud? If i set the fans on low speeds , would that undermine the effectiveness of the watercooling? Doing that am i likely to see no benefit from a decent air cooler?

I plan to overclock both the processor and gpus (not excessively though)

Matt

Dunno what systems you've heard, but if they're even approaching the noise of most aircooled GPU's, then they're doing something very wrong.

One of the major reasons for doing watercooling in the first place is reduced noise :)

The loudest was on demo in the overclockers shop lol

Sounded like a tank.
