Hi everyone, just looking for a bit of advice. I'm looking for a new desktop that has upgrade potential so it can last for several years. Budget is about £500-£550. I'm quite keen to get an I5 ivybridge (for no perticular reason though, if someone has a good argument against it.)
I have installed hard drives / RAM / Video cards into previous desktops, but I've never build from scratch before. Is it that much harder, and is the saving worth it?
I have monitor / keyboard / mouse. I also have Windows 7 on my current laptop - is it possible to just get the product key using key finder software and install the same windows 7 on a new PC?
For a prebuild machine I was looking at this one: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-247-OE&tool=3
Otherwise, id be very grateful if someone could spec me out some components.
