possibly a broken laptop screen - help

hi

just want everyone's opinion about the current problem i have. So in about the last year i suddenly got a strange screen issue where its discoloured on the right hand side on my laptop screen , the thing is that it is not permanent and if i bend/move the screen it disappears but once i let go it occurs again. Are any of you any good with laptops and from the pictures do you think this is something that is perhaps just an issue with perhaps a loose cable or something i could easily fix.I've had enough of the problem now and just want to get it fixed.

Sounds like a loose cable behind the screen. You will be able to dissassemble the screen without touching the rest of the lapop. Usually the surround on the front either has screws (Usually under the rubber bits) or is sometimes just glued on. There may be a service manual, or a dismantling guide somewhere on the internet that you may be able to refer to.

thanks for the advice, i have had a bit of a look around on the net but i have not found anything in great detail yet.
