Possibly borked power supply

I've been working today on bleeding my water-cooling setup, installing a new graphics card block and replacing my PSU wiring with some custom ones from shakmods.

I've got the water-cooling part all done, been using the power supply all day with the pins 16 and 17 shorted to run the pump with no issues.

I then swapped over the PSU wiring, which replaced the main MB loom, the CPU power cables and the GPU power cables. However, when I turned on the power supply, there was an ominous click from the PSU and nothing happening. I took out the MB loom and put the original back in, but it's the same with that. Even shorting pins doesn't work now, the power supply will not switch on.

I pulled out my volt meter and checked the mother board cables and voltages and even with pins 16 and 17 shorted, there is no voltage on any wires, apart from the 5v standby. I hear a click from the PSU when the pins are shorted, to do the testing, but other than that, nothing happens.

So, it looks like the power supply either isn't, or can't switch on. I know it's difficult to say for sure, but I think the power supply has had it, for some reason. Main suspect is the new wiring loom from shakmods, but that'll require more investigation.

For reference, it's a bequiet straight power 11 1000w.

Is there anything else that I can do or test, or is it a case of getting another new PSU?
