MY MSI Z68A mobo failed. I RMA'd and after 6 weeks I have got it back, with the exact same problem. It won't power up.

I will of course RMA it again but don't fancy being another 6 weeks without my desktop PC. Therefore I think I am going to need to replace it, but what with?

If there was something really juicy and tempting out there that performed way better than what I have (had), especially with games such as BF4 multiplayer, then money wouldn't be too much of an object within reason. But I just don't see anything around

Was looking at the Ivy Bridge E 6 core models (not the X edition of course) but can't really say I have been all that impressed by what I have read, such as 4.5 GHz max overclock with water cooling, with everyday air cooling Joes like me getting no more than 4.2.

Anyone got any tips on what to go for? No doubt there will be those of you who did 'upgrade' from Sandybridge to Ivybridge and/or Haswell who will have experience of any improvements in the different systems.

Cheers.

If your buying new is go haswell 4770k and z87 or wait for haswell refresh and z97 chipset

If you wanted to save then pickup a cheap z77 board and keep your 2600k
