Ok tried to turn my Pc on the other day, and what happens, i get the post bleep and nothing happens, monitor screen blank, no other sounds happen, like windows starting up or anything.

I took my machine appart about a month ago, and put it back together, it worked for about 3 weeks.

Anybody got any ideas?

Specs:

Asus Striker Extreme (dont tell me to get a new mobo i know :P)
Intel Core 2 Duo 6850E
Adata Ram :| 2Gb x 2
2 x Raptor 74Gb Raid 0
1 x Seagate Baracuda 300Gb
Geforce 8600 GTC 256mb

please give me some help, i got told to take it appart and rebuild it, but i hope you can help me in another way before i do that.

Thanks

*EDIT* my little LED at the back, tells me nothing..... it just goes thro all the CPU INI, RAM ok Bla bla and then shows me the date

I would stip it down to the barebones - CPU, 1 stick of RAM, graphics card... don't plug in other things like sound cards, hard drives etc. See if you still get the beeps. If you do then trying removing something like all of the RAM and seeing if the beeps change to indicate that there is no RAM. If not, plug the RAM back in and remove then graphics card and see if the beeps alter, then try no RAM and no graphics and seeing what you get.

I would avoid "i got told to take it appart and rebuild it". Taking it apart then putting it back together straight after accomplishes nothing.

ps. Welcome to the forum :-)

No probs mate.

Also just to let you know - you're signature is too big, you're limited to 400 x 75 pixel images. Just letting you know before an administrator removes it. See this post for more information on signature rules.

Try simply disconnecting the power from the wall for a few minutes. One of my friends computers does that from time to time. I've not decided on which part is guilty yet, either the graphics card, or the PSU. But the beep beep he gets is the same as if no graphics card is installed.

URGH i tried what flibby said in the second post, but now im getting the CPU INIT error,

I'm following a guide posted on the ASUS form, i have to wait 3 hours for my battery to die lol

EDIT

after waiting 3 hours for the battery to clear it BOOTS

OMG BOOTS well posts normal :D
