Thought I would boot up an old relic for a secondary machine as I had it lying around gathering dust, however, I keep getting the postcode 0.4. which from what I have been reading is memory related, yet no suggested solutions on those sites. So thought I would come to the experts here.

Have 4 x 512mb Corsair 3200xlpt, which all work fine in another system.

Is anyone else familiar with this postcode 0.4. or any possible suggestions for the fix for it please?

System - AMD 4800+ S939
4 x 512 PC3200 Corsair Platinum
ATI x850 XT PE
Raptor 74gb
Corsair 620w PSU

Have tried clearing cmos, as well as starting it with minimum components and swapping RAM sticks to no avail. Currently waiting a couple of hours with the battery out.

Cheers for any advice. Is no big loss if I cant fix it, just would be handy to keep the kids amused and save them trashing my decent machine.

0.4. indicates a memory initialisation error but it can cover the gfx card memory as well as on the mobo itself.
It has also been seen on AN8s to sometimes be related to non-standard/overtightened heatsinks/blocks & backplates.
