post code 8

Just bought full set up from oc like 3 weeks ago and had few problems with getting post codes. started with post code 40 now post code 8, system wont turn on and now am puzzled what to do.

Running
Asus crosshair vi hero
Ryzen 1700
16gig ddr4 ram
Gtx 1080
Windows 10 64
650 corsair psu

You bought the parts and put it together or it is a pre-built system?
If you bought the parts then try strip the system down to bare bones, so just CPU, motherboard and 1 stick of RAM and see if that at least boots. Check all your power connectors on everything and also ensure your not shorting the system out anywhere.

If it is a pre-built then don't touch it and contact OCUK and allow them to sort it.

I bought a bundle but built my self
I pulled out a sata hd that i though it might be fixed the post code 8 then few hours later post code 8 again
No clues now

try with single stick of ram at default xmp settings

so i pulled out couple wires and pluged some back in and now start button doesnt work had to use the motherboard start button

its boots up now and gives me post code 24 that's fine, i removed a sata cable that wasn't connected to anything and problem gone hopefully that was the problem.

Sounds like you may have been shorting the system with the loose cable
