We have been offered a property through our local council which is brand new.
When we do a check of the postcode there is some strange results, number 1 through to 11 except 4 have fttp enabled but cant order as `not available`.
Numbers above these up to and including 61 say there is no broadband or anything available?

The houses have all bee built together not in phases and all become ready in the next week to habitat.

So is this just an oversight by the developer and the other homes need adding by openreach or could it be something else?
On monday im hoping to speak to a lady who dealt with the project at that site for these houses and may get the answer i need, but if not i dont know whether any internet at all will be available?

We only have a week to make our minds up about the property and broadband is a big issue for us as a family as the house we currently live in has less than 5 meg broadband and is very flaky at best.

I have not been to the house yet, the people who built them said we have to talk with the sales team at the landlords, some are part ownership.
Cant reach her until monday now.

ok been down and managed to speak with one of the main guys at the site who has informed me that the entire estate is fibre to premises, and the reason they are not listed on the checker is BT have not fitted the boxes into all the currently built properties due to the weather.

Im assured all will be complete on time, we will only be able to use BT for services `tied in` was the wording.

yeah fibre to house is really good news, just hope we can get in the house and get moved now. We have a financial assesment on tuesday with the housing association and then we get the keys on thursday hopefully so fingers crossed from here on in.

ok we moved in on the 16th and things have developed somewhat.

Open reach in the last couple of days pulled the fibre cables to the man holes outside our homes and then today they came and installed the equipment into our home.

The lights are green for go and the open reach guy said the systems will update within 24 hours and then we can place an order.

Bt fttp people at bt internet, are pretty useless and dont know what their talking about, however we managed to get some one who knew a little more and our house is in a bracket what they call gold banding and so once order placed we will be up and running within 3 working days. (never heard of this before)

So all in all were hoping to be up and running this next week at some point :)

We have been told again by openreach and the site manager we will only be able to order from bt them selves for 2 years, i also contacted zen and they seem to think the same.

When i contacted zen both online and via there phones they could not place any order as the infrastructure is with bt soley for 2 years.
But zen prices are very expensive anyway.
