Post Error Occurred Completely Stuck Now!???

Can anyone help me with this, when trying to boot the message post error occurred comes up and asking me to boot default every single time i modify my multiplier etc in the bios for an overclock. Im sure it's down to my overclocking but i dont know how to stop it and for it to allow me to carry on overclocking, can anyone help?

I have flashed the bios

I have reset the bios

my pc amd phenom 550 unlocked x4 was 3.6 but now 3.1
thermalright venomous x cpu cooler
gigabyte m790x motherboard

If anyone can help me out here, your a bloody genius!! :D
 
If you have cleared the CMOS using this method - by taking all the bits and bobs out of the mobo and removed the power cable from the PSU - and the battery too - then do the clear of the cmos and leave for a hour or so. If yes and you are still getting a post error then it is your hardware that is giving you a problem.

Do a memtest of each of your ram sticks and see if they are the problem.
