Can anyone help me with this, when trying to boot the message post error occurred comes up and asking me to boot default every single time i modify my multiplier etc in the bios for an overclock. Im sure it's down to my overclocking but i dont know how to stop it and for it to allow me to carry on overclocking, can anyone help?

I have flashed the bios

I have reset the bios

my pc amd phenom 550 unlocked x4 was 3.6 but now 3.1

Cpu amd phenom x2 550 unlocked x4
Current multi 15.5 bus = 201 default and ht default 2000
Temps fine top end 52 after intelburn 1 hr

I just dont get it. But it's to do with the frequency im sure as it displays frequency at the top end corner when describing this post error

Also i may add that i tried increasing my multiplier to 17.5 = 3.4 ghz which booted fine. But then once i increase to 3.5 the post error comes up again. The thing is i know it can go to 3.6 easily stable

I would suggest that you need to increase the cpu voltage a notch to get the higher frequency working, this will increase the temps so monitor it, keep below 1.5V, turn off cool and quiet and turbo boost or whatever so that you know the frequency will not vary.

I thought that but it's not voltage related. I had it running for days consistenly at 3.7 multiplier 18.5 with a voltage of 1.350 which is incredibly good.
