What would happen is whats happening in the Arab countries, i.e. Libya, Syria, etc a lot of infighting that gets you nowhere!
 
we would probably end up forming small groups of people trying to survive, once the threat is over i think they would attempt to build some form of a village or try to rebuilt the nearby city and from there we would start to rebuild civilization, however electricity would be a luxury and it would take some time to get a power plant or something going

Back on topic: If we were all to split off in factions what kind of leader would you choose to follow out of the following -

Mr/Miss/Mrs Hardline, does what needs to be done to restore order. Zero tolerance kind of individual - in the sense that "if you're not with us, you're against us". Is efficient and gets things done quickly.

Mr/Miss/Mrs Nice, listens to the people and wins them over with words. Willing to accept anyone regardless of their beliefs and culture. Quite benevolent and kind yet very slow to progress.

Both leaders have access to the same level of resources in relation to food, weapons and manpower.

neither would go form my own colony with people who aren't 2 feet up their own arse
 
If we're talking about structures... I'm of the opinion that we've created for ourselves a lot of '******** jobs'. So it'd be nice to strip this back and have people working on things that are, you know, necessary for our survival.

Please, people would be fighting in this country if they understood the impact of our current situation and where we are headed.

We are ruled by oppressive dictators and greedy men, the majority of society is just seen as expendable capital and machinery, our government is just better at hiding it than other nations.
